Reilun parin viikon kuluttua starttaa tämän kesän pääreissu joka tehdään pienellä porukalla
Mikan ja Jorman kanssa Keski-Eurooppaan osin samoille kulmille kuin kesällä 2012.
Tämän reissun teemana on auto- ja tekniikan museot joita on tarkoitus käydä katsomassa.
Yhtään majoitusta en ole varannut etukäteen enkä edes lauttalippuja Tukholmasta Turkuun joten senkin suhteen reitti ja aikataulu tulee olemaan hyvin joustava.
Alustava reitti on kuvan mukainen

 Vaihdoin 650 V-Strommin uuteen 1000 kuutioiseen ja olen sillä tähän mennessä ehtinyt ajaa vain ensihuoltoon tarvittavat kilometrit. Koska pyörä on täysin uusi malli niin sen varusteleminen on tuottanut hieman päänvaivaa.
Halusin tähän pyörään alumiinilaukut ja ennenkuin SW-Motech julkaisi nettisivuillaan ratkaisunsa, ei vaihtoehtoja ollut, niinpä tein  tilauksen välittömästi. Toimitus vaan ei tunnu sujuvan yhtä näppärästi kuin netti sivustojen päivittäminen...
Toivottavasti laukut tulevat ennen reissuun lähtöä, sillä pari viikon reissu reppu selässä ei oikein ajatuksena kiehdo.
Ensi viikonloppuna on tarkoitus ajaa Pietarin kautta Tallinnaan työkavereiden kanssa samalla testaten miten iso Strommi toimii matka-ajossa.

After a couple of weeks it's time to start this summers main ride that will be done on a small group together with Mika and Jorma to Central Europe, partly to same areas where we rode in summer 2012.
The theme of this ride is Car and Technical museums that we are going to visit.
I have not booked a single hotel nor even ferry tickets from Stockholm to Turku so our route and timeschedule will be really flexible.
The preliminary route is shown in the photo above.

I changed my V-Strom 650 to a brand new 1000 earlier this spring and so far I have rode only the needed kilometres for the first maintenance. As the bike is a totally new model, getting it equipped for my use is not so simple.
As I preffered to buy aluminium boxes, before SW-Motech announced their solution in the beginning of April there were no other variants.
I made the order rigth away, but getting the boxes seems to be delayed.
It was much easier for the manufacturer to update their Web pages that to produce the boxes...
Hope to get the boxes before actual starting date as riding two weeks with a backback is not to me.
Next weekend I'm going via St.Petersburg to Tallinn together with my working colleagues and so testing how big V-Strom suits to road.
